What’s the purpose of this app?

We want to help you the photographer take your ever-increasing online presence and put into the palm of your clients hands as one single application. As fellow photographers we know that some of our best advertising comes from referrals from past clients and we want to help you give them a tool to brag about your incredible photography.

What’s included with my app?

Each application purchase includes a framework for a home page, photo feed, your blog, your slideshows/videos, your twitter feed, and your facebook fanpage.   We will also help you put your branding into an app icon as well as a welcome screen.

What if we give our clients an ipod touch, will this app work on that?

Yes! The great part about this app is that it will cache your photo feed into it’s memory so that your clients can still look at your photos when they don’t have the internet readily available.

How does the photo feed work?

Well we can feed from almost any photo host that has an RSS feed (smugmug, flickr, photobucket, etc.). Our recommendation is smugmug. With smugmug you can feed multiple albums. That being said, flickr and photobucket are great free alternative that you can add your favorite photos and the app will simply show you thumbnails that link to the full images. As of right now facebook photos are not a viable option as there is no RSS feed.

Tell me more about how the blog framework works?

The blog module will retrieve your blog from your RSS feed and then load it and resize the images to fit the blog module.  It doesn’t matter what kind of blog you have, if there is an RSS feed we will be able to feed it into your app.

Can I feed my videos from anywhere?

While we are personally big smugmug and vimeo fans, the technology on the iphone is tailored to the h.264 codec and with the need to feed from a RSS feed, youtube is currently our best option. As the technology improves and becomes more iphone/ipod touch friendly we are excited to move along with the technology.

So what do I need to have in place in order to maximize this app?

You can have as many or as few modules as you please.  However if you want to maximize the potential of this app, you will need to have a photo feed like smugmug or flickr, photobucket, etc. You also need to have a blog. You need a youtube account where you have uploaded your videos. Twitter and Facebook fanpage frameworks are not a must but if you have accounts, the frameworks are included so why not take advantage of them, and then finally just your contact information.

Does the price include any updates?

The short answer is no.  In terms of new frameworks we are already thinking about future addons which you will be able to purchase  for a nominal fee.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We currently accept paypal or Certified Cheque.

How long will the process take?

The process shouldn’t take longer than about 4 weeks. The apple approval process is about a 2 week process and we will do our best to get it to them as soon as we get your approval to go ahead with what we have.

What countries can I purchase the app in?

Currently we are tailoring to the U.S.A. and Canada however if you are an international customer we would be glad to work with you as well. Contact us and we can work something out.
